Dear Angels,

It is the last week of NDP Angel Promotions and a total of 10 Angels will be promoted. This week, 6 Angel Staff Sergeants and 1 Angel Sergeant will receive their Bar and Star as they receive their promotion to Angel Warrant Officer.

In addition, 2 Angels will be promoted to the Rank of Angel Staff Sergeant and 2 Angels will be appointed as Angel Non-Commissioned Officers (Angel NCOs) and promoted to the Rank of Angel Sergeant.

If you think your Angel have treated you well, nominate them now, regardless of their current rank (you wouldn't know right?). Spread the word now!

National Day Parade 2006 Preview

Dear Cadets and Instructors,

This Saturday is National Day Parade 2006 Preview! The last show prior to National Day Parade 2006 itself, which means RCYNDP ZeroSiX is coming to an end soon. A total of 70 Cadets attended the 5th Combined Rehearsal.

At this second last week of NDP Angel Promotions, a total of 19 Angels will be promoted. Following the Promotions of 3 Angel Warrant Officers last week, some 8 Angel Staff Sergeants will receive their Star and Bar at this week's NDP Angel Promotions.

Did You Know That,

On the Parade Commander's command, the Colours Party will form up at the head of the Guard-of-Honour Contingent and march-pass the Saluting Dias at the music, "Tentera Singapura March", or the "Singapore Armed Forces March".

When the Singapore Police Force Guard-of-Honour Contingent marches-pass the Saluting Dias, the music changes to "Polis Republik Singapura March", or the "Singapore Police Force March".

So, listen out for the march-pass music this Saturday!

5th Combined Rehearsal

Dear Cadets and Instructors,

NE Show was a blast! The National Stadium was filled with a sea of red and screams and laughter of innocent young children, the future of Our Singapore. It was the second show after the 8th of July Family Day, and the National Day Parade 2006 Red Cross Youth Marching Contingent Committee is pleased and proud to announce that the National Day Parade 2006 Red Cross Youth Marching Contingent has maintained the record of ZERO casualties for the show. Well done!

A total of 74 Cadets attended the training, yet another feat!

Come this Saturday, the National Day Parade 2006 Red Cross Youth Marching Contingent will go through its final rehearsal before National Day Parade 2006 Preview! The Preview is one major show where members of public holding preview tickets will gather at the 33-year-old National Stadium for a sneak peek of whats in for NDP 2006.

The Committee feels that there is a need to and will hereby make known the critieria used to determine the list of Reserves for the Contingent. The Reserves are chosen on a case-by-case basis and based on a number of factors such as:

- Poor past attendance, mainly AWOL (Absense Without Official Leave)
- Attitude or disciplinary problems
- Casualties with serious cases or conditions
- Having put in little or no effort in activities organized for the Contingent

The Committee will make changes to the list as and when necessary and will review each case after each training. The Committee will not hesitate to remove any Cadet found falling into the above mentioned criteria from the Main Contingent.

The Committee hopes that all Cadets understand that there are 79 Cadets in the RCYNDP ZeroSiX Family but only 64 places in the Main Contingent.

It is cruel but necessary to pull out 15 cadets from the Main Contingent as Reserves.

However, the Committee will put in the utmost effort to ensure that every Cadet in the RCYNDP ZeroSiX Family will have at least a shot at one of the shows.

Dear Angels,

A total of 17 Angels will be promoted in this week's NDP Angels Promotion. NDP Angels reached yet another milestone today as 3 Angel Staff Sergeants will be promoted to the Rank of Angel Warrant Officers. These are Angels who cared for their Mortals constantly every week without fail. These are Angels who have shown limitless leadership potential. These are Angels of very lucky Mortals.

In addition, a total of 9 Angels will be promoted to the Rank of Angel Staff Sergeant. This is made possible with the alteration of the Promotion Criteria for the Rank of Angel Staff Sergeant to include Special Duties (e.g. emcees, bringing out the birthday cake etc.) other than Leading a Cheer.

Also, 3 Angels will be appointed as Angel Non-Commissioned Officers (Angel NCOs) and promoted to the Rank of Angel Sergeant. Another 2 Angels will be promoted to the Rank of Angel Corporal.

In contrary, the ArchAngels saw 20 Angel Lance Corporals who have not made any gateway in promotion. It seems to the ArchAngels that these Angels have given up on their Mortals. The ArchAngels encourage all Angels to give your Mortal a Gift coupled with a Letter. This combination is the secret to Angel High-Flyers as a Gift and a Letter are counted separately as individual contributions.

Finally, a tip from the ArchAngels: The SAF Marshals are the ones guiding the Contingent towards the right path. They put in their best for the Contingent's welfare and safety. Write to your Mortals on what you know about the SAF Marshals and the encounters you have had with them.

4th Combined Rehearsal

Dear Cadets and Instructors,

The 3rd Combined Rehearsal ended with a bang! Families and friends gathered at the 33 year-old National Stadium to watch YOU perform for the Nation. A total of 71 cadets turned up for the event today as National Day draws near in 31 days!

The 4th Combined Rehearsal will be an NE Show. Primary school children from all over Singapore will fill the 60,000 capacity of the National Stadium to experience the NDP experience. The training details for the 4th Combined Rehearsal are as follows:

The first ever NDP Idol is coming to town!

Nominate your fellow Angels or ArchAngels to be part of this extravaganza! 10 Angels or ArchAngels with the highest nominations will take part in a series of performances, be it a song or dance or anything under the sun.

For 3 weeks starting from the 15th of July 2006, 2 participants will be eliminated. With 4 finalists left, the 6 eliminated participants will take part in a WILDCARD face-off for the 5th spot in the NDP Idol Finals!

The NDP Idol Finals will take place on the National Day, 9th of August 2006, Singapore's 41th birthday.

So, do not wait anymore, nominate your fellow Angels or ArchAngels this Saturday. Simply write a note to the ArchAngels with the Angel you nominated.

Nominations are open only on the 8th of July 2006. Each Angel is limited only to 1 nomination. Nominations are not limited to your Angel only, you may nominate any Angel or ArchAngel.

NDP Angels Promotion & Announcements

Dear Angels,

To reward and recognize Angels for their hardwork and dedication to their Mortals, the ArchAngels hereby announce the Promotion of 31 NDP Angels to the next rank. Of which, 20 Angels have been appointed Angel Non-Commissioned Officers (Angel NCOs), and promoted to the Rank of Angel Sergeant.

The ArchAngels are also pleased to announce that all Angels are at least an Angel Lance Corporal after this round of Angels Promotion. However, the ArchAngels are worried for some Angels who remained stagnant at the Rank of Angel Lance Corporal. The ArchAngels remind all Angel Lance Corporals that hard work is needed in order to earn promotions.

And finally, a tip from the ArchAngels: National Day Parade 2006 is just 35 days away! Cadets need to stay in the pink of health in order to participate in the Parade. Share with your Mortal how he or she can stay healthy, injury-free and out-of-trouble from now till the end of NDP 2006.

3rd Combined Rehearsal

Dear Cadets and Instructors,

The 2nd Combined Rehearsal ended yesterday with a total cadet turnout of 74. It was the highest cadet turnout since the 2nd Internal Training at Guangyang Secondary School. The National Day Parade 2006 Red Cross Youth Marching Contingent Committee was delighted with the sudden surge in Cadet attendance, but the Committee believes that it could be better.

The 3rd Combined Rehearsal will commence this Saturday, on the 8th of July 2006. This Combined Rehearsal is special as it will be opened to National Day Parade 2006 Family Day ticket-holders. Spectators will fill the National Stadium during the Actual Timing Run in the evening, and all eyes will be on YOU!

The Training Details for the 3rd Combined Rehearsal are as follows:

Reporting Time to HQ: 0950 hours (have your breakfast before coming)
